Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony Las Vegas
Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony Las Vegas
This year’s Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony was at the Police Memorial Park. It’s located at 3250 Metro Academy Way, Las Vegas, NV, in Centennial Hills/La Madre.
To begin with, the ceremony began with the wonderful bagpipe brigade march, followed by family members. This was also an opportunity for the community to honor and to pay tribute to our local law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. An example is Lincoln County Sheriff George Rogers, who died in 1866.

Special Speakers for the Memorial Video
In addition, special guest speakers included City of Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley, Sheriff Kevin McMahill, City of Las Vegas Councilwoman Francis Allen-Palenske, and a host of other special guests. In particular, a special speaker was an impressive young lady giving her remarks. Lastly, we had the reading of the names of fallen officers who have died in the line of duty.
Special Memorial Fly Over Helicopter Formation
The conclusion of the services came with a breathtaking helicopter flyover to pay tribute to the fallen. Next came a short walk with bagpipes leading the way to the concluding dedication as a procession gathered at the Police Memorial Park statue for honors. What a fitting end to a great Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony.
