Nevada First in Home Foreclosures

To begin with, the article Nevada First in Home Foreclosures indicates that some homeowners have lost their homes, or their foreclosure sale date is near.

Nevada First in Home Foreclosures

Nevada First in Home Foreclosures

According to ATTOM’s July 2026 Foreclosure Market Report, foreclosure activity across the United States increased slightly from the previous month and remained higher than it was one year ago.

While foreclosure starts rose compared with both June 2026 and July 2025, completed foreclosures remained nearly unchanged month over month but increased year over year. Despite these increases, overall foreclosure activity remains below pre-pandemic levels, suggesting the housing market continues to show some resilience.

The Current Foreclosure Picture in the U.S.

Here we have  July 2026: total foreclosure filings. Unfortunately, 39,906 properties received a default notice, were scheduled for auction, or were repossessed by a lender. Nevada does not want to be Nevada First in Home Foreclosures.

Monthly change: Up 1% from June 2026.

Year-over-year change: Up 10% from July 2025.

National foreclosure rate: One in every 3,603 housing units had a foreclosure filing.

Nevada Foreclosure Rate

Nevada’s foreclosure rate was higher than every other state in the country.

Nevada came in first—and that is not a ranking we want to celebrate.

Furthermore, I see the Nevada foreclosure numbers every day.  However, when the month ends and the data is totaled, the bigger picture becomes clear. Many homeowners are facing serious financial challenges. Many of them are at risk of losing their homes. This rating will not last as the Nevada First in Home Foreclosures. Nevada has the best benefits of most states. One big example is no state income taxes.

That’s where I come in. We definitely do not want to be the Nevada First in Home Foreclosures.

Finally, if they are facing foreclosure, falling behind on payments, or simply concerned about their options, it’s important to understand what steps may be available before it’s too late. That’s where I can help. A program for homeowners in trouble in called the FHA’s Pre-Foreclosure Sales Program (PFSP). You have to qualify. That’s what I do. Guide you through the process.

The bottom line: as Nevadans, we don’t like to be known as the “Highest default rate leader” in the U.S.
