Free MICROCHIPPING Event AT MOUNTAIN CREST PARK

The event is Saturday, October 4th, from 9am to 11am.

Commissioner Becker will be offering Free Microchipping Event (while supplies last) for your furry friends. Dogs are required to be on leach & cats are required to be in carriers.

Outdated Microchip Data

As per Google: “There is no specific percentage publicly available for pets in Clark County, Nevada that have outdated microchip data. However, national studies on pets found in shelters indicate that incorrect or unregistered data is the primary reason microchips fail to reunite a pet with its owner. ” Only three to four percent of dogs that arrive at shelters are microchipped,” according to Nevada Humane Society.

$5 Microchip Service Offered Before Mandate Expires

Finally, a new program. $5 pet microchipping service. This is offered by Clark County to help keep cats and dogs out of shelters and with their families
